CDC to begin new testing investigation on campus 

On Monday Berry began testing of all students as part of a new investigation that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is conducting on campus.

Social media growth affects students' future jobs 

Social media has become one of the fastest growing markets, according to the New York Times. Since the pandemic began, more and more companies and users have switched to social media platforms to share and receive news and information instantaneously, according to the Global Web Index. Not only that, but social media has also become a distraction for many people, who often times would turn to the platforms when they felt lonely or wishing to connect with others. The platforms people use every day have a great impact because of the current state of the world.

Students apply technology course to community issues 

Students in the creative technologies Intermediate Design Studio are working with community partners to solve problems using different types of technology. This fall, the students in the class are working with a variety of organizations to solve real-life problems that include working with the Public Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) on creating incubators and working with a foot surgeon on new patient waiting-time technology.

Town hall addresses student concerns about visitation policy

On Monday night, Residence Life and SGA hosted a town hall meeting in order to allow students to discuss their opinions and concerns with the Visitation Policy. Currently the policy states that during the school week students cannot be in opposite gendered rooms between the hours of 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. On weekends, the time is extended to 2 a.m.

Viking Fusion starts new broadcasting sports division

Viking Fusion created a new sports division team dedicated to live-broadcasting Berry sports games. The first broadcast game occurred this weekend when the Berry football team took on LaGrange College at home.
